As an interpreter of contemporary music, Ayano Shigematsu is a member of the  Kompass Ensemble and in the management team of EnsembleOhm, the experimental Ensemble for new music, which focuses on working with

Electronics. They won the special prize for the best performance after 1950

composed work at the “International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists”. They played as a member of the Ensemble Particles also with the Ensemble Recherche.

Cooperation with composers is also the important topic for them. They premiered pieces by more than 40 composers, including commissioned work for Rino Murakami, Michiru Nakamura Noel Hiyamizu, Joey Tan, and Maximiliano A. Soto Mayorga.
