As a baroque violinist, Ayano Shigematsu won the 3rd prize at 13th international Telemann Competition, category historical string instruments in Magdeburg. Ayano worked with, among others, Prof. Dr. Pedro Memelsdorff, Freiburger Baroque Orchestra and Bremen Baroque Orchestra, and performed at, among others Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht and Wratislava Cantans in Wrocław.

In addition to historically informed performance, performance of contemporary music with historical instruments such as Baroque violin as well as the handling of historical instruments and their effective use are also the fascinating topic for them.

Ayano studies with Prof. Gottfried von der Goltz and Prof. Mechthild Karkow.
